When a woman is pregnant, she has to be especially safe and precautious, not only for her own healthiness but also for the health of her unborn baby. The first three months of pregnancy is the most critical stage in your baby's growth as all organs are forming. It is generally a very difficult period when your body is still adjusting to this huge change. According to American Pregnancy Association, dehydration in early stage of pregnancy increases the risk of miscarriage.

Certain foods and stuff which were well proper to the woman ahead of pregnancy may cause several side effects in her when she is pregnant. This makes it very vital for the woman to take certain precautions. Let's find out.

Fish and seafood:- 
1. Eat no more than 12 ounces of cooked fish a week.
2. Do not eat shark, swordfish, king mackerel or tilefish.
3. Limit albacore (white) tuna (even canned) to once a week.
4. If you eat fish caught by family and friends from local waters, check local advisories about the safety of fish.
5. Fish sticks and fast food sandwiches are commonly made from fish low in mercury.

Smoking:- 

Cigarette smoking has confirmed to be risky for pregnant women. Pregnant smoking mothers have been observe to give birth to low weight babies having troubles like infections or breathing problems, feeding problems or even unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
