Anaemia - Causes, Symptoms, Treatment


Anaemia is a situation in which the blood fails to provide the body's tissues with adequate amounts of oxygen. Anaemia means that either the altitude of red blood cells or the altitude of hemoglobin is lesser than normal. Blood cells are bent by the bone marrow, and usually are shattered after about four months of life. This means the red blood cells have to exertion harder to get oxygen around the body.

  • Pregnancy.
  • Bleeding.

  • Menstruation.
  • Hemolysis (annihilation of red blood cells).

  • Deficiency of iron in the body.
  • Peptic ulcer.

  • Headaches.

  • Breathlessness.
  • Rapid, weak pulse or palpitations.

  • Weakness.

Treatment of Anaemia

  • The most frequent technique to treat anaemia caused by iron deficiency is to stipulate an iron supplement.
  • A few patients are given injections.
  • If iron depletion is very stern blood transfusions may be required.
